Dances with midges

Counterintuitive cut

An attempt at a panorama - apologies if Blip makes it hard to zoom in and see what's going on. The water on the left is the Forth and Clyde Canal, with a collie. It is passing through Kirkintilloch. The towpath and the metal bars of an aqueduct are next, and then, down below maybe 20 feet or so, is the River Kelvin. It seems strange to take a waterway across an aqueduct above a waterway, but that is the nature of the Georgian wonder that is the Scottish and British canal system!
