Frog or toad?

Saw this chap on my way into work this morning. Has had me wondering if he is a frog or a toad. And what is the technical difference between a frog or a toad? Glad Oliver wasn't with us as he likes to carry them around in his mouth, he doesn't kill them, just transports them. Strange cat.
