Hunkypunk
Up early, which, after a late evenings work last night once I got back from the funeral, was a bit much.
The first scaffolder I was due to meet in Newbury was early, the second late, which meant hanging around for a good hour and a half doing nothing. Apart from being in the sun, looking around for good photo ops that is....
This is what they call in Somerset a Hunkypunk. A grotesque on the side of the church serving no other purpose than to provide me with a potential blip. For which I'd like to thank it.
I have no idea how old it is but the church is Fifteenth century with Nineteenth century remodellings. It's somewhere in between, fairly early, oolitic limestone and is rather fun.
