At the end of the day

Today was the final day of the parliamentary journey of the Children and Young People bill. My committee has been working on this bill for a considerable period of time and I am delighted we have reached the final day.

Although the Scottish Parliament usually votes at 5pm, tonight however we voted at 8:30pm to allow a substantial debate on the final set of proposed amendments today.

As the debate has just finished I decided to blip the view from my desk in the chamber if I look up, although I don't normally see my microphone from this angle. I have been sitting here since 1:30pm today, so after 7 hours I am delighted to leave this view behind for the day.
