fishing
It was one of those sort of ordinary sea days. A bit grey, the tide was coming in gently, and the seagulls wheeling around in the thermals. As the tide came in a little fishing boat anchored out by the river mouth. Soon it was surrounded by masses of seagulls. I realised that the seamen were gutting their catch and throwing it to the gulls before coming in to sell their fish. I was hopeful I might see an opportune seal enjoying the feast, I used the camera digital zoom as a sort of mini telescope. I saw something dark bobbing among the ripples but when I got the big scope out what I thought was a seal turned out just to be a drifting log.
