Boxes of Butterflies

This evening I went to the Natural History Museum in Mdina, to listen to a talk. The talk was by the head researcher on the Malta Seabird Project, and was proper interesting. Before that though we got taken around the museums collections, that aren't on public display, we looked at the entomology and ornithology collections. The birds were kinda depressing because it was rammed full and they said they had freezers full too, mainly hunters collections confiscated by the police, or birds that died from injuries and were donated. But the butterflies and beetles were all pretty awesome. Also Mdina is definitely the most beautiful part of Malta so far, planning a longer visit soon.
