Peace in the city...

I had some time to spare this afternoon and went for a walk in an old cemetery, in a quite central part of town. I actually wanted to see if the old church was still standing , as I had a feeling that it had been demolished from EQ damage.
I was right....the beautiful old building had gone, I think it was an old stone one too.
So , once again a big part of the city's history has disappeared.

It was interesting looking at the graves, ( I find it so , anyway!) as there are some very old ones there.
This one I loved for its great Celtic design.
