Checking the Netting
Wellington had fog this morning. So did we. It was pretty murky early and even murkier in Wellington where the airport was closed for business most of the day.
The fog did not hold us up here. The dogs and I went on our usual trek along the Taylor River Tracks. The skies started to clear as we walked through the last vineyard. Contractors were busy working at setting up the netting in its correct position.
Gyspy was busy checking out progress. The netting was still near ground level in today’s image. Gypsy is looking a bit strange these days. She has had her long coat styled for hot summer days. Keith took her to the groomer and asked for a more conservative trim this year. Last summer the groomer got a bit carried away and all but shaved her…Poor Gyspy. We called it her “day of shame”.
Anyway she is very comfortable with this year’s style and does not have to spend too much time in the river cooling off.
