It's All Gone Quiet Over There

Fog settled in at Tuesday night football.

Pause for dramatic effect... largely due to having to leave for work.

Thankfully the full roster of matches did take place however, although it was quite the eerie sight with this dense cloud hanging over the pitch.

Tonight our opposition was the mighty Hardly Athletic, league champions from last year & league leaders this. Unlike their name suggests, they were quite the formidable & accomplished team, dispatching us at the final whistle, 5-0. It wasn't all bad though. We worked tirelessly throughout the match, particularly the first half, which we were told was our best to date, defended doggedly, crafted some nice passing & even some goal scoring chances. Playing a team a strong as Hardly is always tough, & making a lasting impact on the game proved hard, however Heskeys Tekkers are improving as we go, & that's what counts.

The Stats

Currently we sit second from bottom (of 8 teams), played 7, won 1, lost 6, we have 2 points & quite shockingly after tonight, have a goal difference of -32. I know, speechless right!? And on that bombshell...
