Good guy

Humza, the Scottish Government's youngest minister has an office just along from mine.  I am blipping this in a  wee tribute to him - and his mentor .

To him because of the press reports today regarding the racist abuse he suffered last week when he was out helping the Big Issue in Glasgow.  And his mentor because Bashir Ahmad the first Scots Asian MSP who died suddenly five years ago who was one of the best and kindest men I ever met and whom I was very proud to call a friend.

What richness they and many like them have brought to what William McIllvanney called this "mongrel nation".   What a huge contribution they are making to their chosen home.
