The mummy returns

This looks like it could be the torso of the latest eBay idiot, but sadly not.

As Blippers may know, Mr A is in the process of restoring a 1973 Honda motorbike. Genuine parts are scarce, after all they were made over 40 years ago!

eBay has been both a blessing and a curse as far as sourcing parts goes. Stuff from abroad has arrived with customs charges on top (£8 handling fee....robbing bar stewards!), wrong sized shock absorbers (luckily modified by Mr A) and now this!

This is a bike seat.
The one on Mr A's bike isn't in the best condition; not only is it well worn but there's also big splits in the vinyl. He had seen a replacement seat for sale by a seller in Thailand, obviously not a genuine seat but in brand new condition.

Then, up pops a genuine seat, from a UK seller. Still used but advertised as good condition with no damage. I contacted the seller with an offer for a 'buy it now' (as I wanted to surprise Mr A for his birthday). I explained why I wanted it, and that I wasn't prepared to get into a bidding war with my boyfriend (who was watching the item),but he declined the offer.
Mr A won the item for the listing price I offered more than that so the seller missed out there...ha!
but when it arrived there was a tear in the side!
The seller claims the Post Office must have done it as he didn't see a tear in the seat (yeah, right). He's demanded Mr A send him photos of the seat and refused to partially refund due to the item not being as described. Instead, he wants Mr A to return it!!

So this is it; packed up and ready to go. I'm praying the seller contacts me with a second chance offer, which I will gleefully decline.

Karma's a bitch and so am I hahahaha !
