All's well that ends well!
E had been so excited about her horse riding lesson - until she had to get on the horse. She has a virtual horse on her 3DS and knws all about how to care for them etc, but being so high up was a bit scary for her. The girl at the school was great and made her stay on until she had calmed down and then went and brought a smaller pony. This made her happier until the pony moved and wobbled, but again H made her stay on the horse while it moved one step at a time. Five minutes later she was off and running - well not quite, but she was riding by herself and cantering and giving the pony instructions and was ver y pleased with herself.
We were pleased at the outcome as she would have regretted not having ridden the pony. Only problem now is that she wants to continue the lessons at home.
Jim isn't wearing a pink fluffy scarf, it's E's ear muffs and as he had his hands full trying to calm her down, he put them around his neck.
