"WALKING ON ICE ?"

Today was a beautiful, sunny, warm - 40 degree- day. After the dentist we drove by the park hoping to walk around the pond. What a disappointment! The plows had piled the snow in the parking places - the path around the pond was slush, ice and snow and the stairs were not shoveled. I was determined to see what was going on and finally found an area where I could get near the pond. Much to my surprise the pond was still frozen and the geese, seagulls and resident swans were there but "walking on ice" searching for food and water which I could see near the fountain was not frozen. There was no way I could get close enough to capture the congregation of waterfowl .

This blip hunting has definitely become an addiction. I took several shots and was frustrated. This fellow was not comfortable and kept walking around in a circle. I choose this shot which I felt was the best of the bunch.

I'm impulsive --in my eagerness to plod through the drifted snow I was not thinking that my leather boots were not the right footgear. Anyway -- they'll dry out.
I had my blip . . :) :) :)
