In the wings.
As they say, ' the show must go on' and despite a sore and croaky throat (there were several of us the same) we started our second week of Panto performances tonight.
Not sure how the singing sounded but we got through it.
Didn't even feel up to taking anything today for blip so it had to be something tonight.
These are two of our stalwart back stage technical people. C and G - C (Corinthian Column) is a blipper and may be familiar to many of you but here she is in the wings ready to operate the curtains and lighting special effects - strobe lighting etc. G is reluctantly operating the sound effects and grumbling a lot about those 'damned actors'!
Seriously we couldn't do anything without the set building and back stage crew. They are great at their job and often abused by those of us on stage making demands we shouldn't.
Here they are just behind the main curtain in the wings. It often gets very crowded here with people waiting to go on stage, come off or even make a quick costume change. They carry on with their jobs unfased (and the odd grumble.)
Three more performances to go. Well done you two and the other unsung backstage heroes. Keep up the good work.
