Zippity zip zip (wire! )

This is India zipping along on the zip wire, just after she had fallen off into the mud.

Our lovely friends nicki, milly and Katy came up today and are staying a few days. Nicki was my school friend from being 7 to 18 and then we lost touch. Our eldest daughters have ended up together in the same class since they were 5. I feel really lucky that I was given the opportunity to re-get to know Nic and she is a much loved friend without whom my life would be even more chaotic and not as much fun.

We have filled the girls with fresh air, we are not afraid of rain, what were hoods invented for anyway?! They really enjoyed skimming again this morning until Heidi fell in the river. After lunch we togged up again (a military operation requiring negotiation skills worthy of hostage negotiators to persuade Heidi and Katy that we do actually have their best interests at heart when we ask them to put their waterproofs on! ) and went off to the playground. When the rain was practically horizontal we called time and went home for chocolate cake and hot orange and mango squash. Nic had bought matching onesies for all the girls so they then chilled out in their bedroom looking like a rather cool girl group.
