Pumpkin Bin

My pumpkin, looking a bit the worse for wear, is acting as a temporary compost bin until the rain stops long enough for me to put him outside on my compost heap.

He is filled with all kinds of interesting items such as monkey nut shells, celery stalks, potatoe peel, garlic and onion skin. Gives him is own unique identity.

Speaking of identity a friend of mine was on TV3 this morning. He was talking about tracing family roots. Seems to be a big surge of interest amongst Irish people tracing their family heritage in recent years and weeks. Probably sparked by the programme 'Who Do You Think You Are?'.

Good to know where all our interesting bits come from that make us who we are.
