Where to?
Travelling by British Rail is not as easy as I had thought (although maybe most of you already knew that!). I was trying to get back to Farnham from a meeting in Epsom, which I naively thought meant jumping on a train at Epsom and then getting off again at Farnham after a nice trundle through the Surrey countryside. But no.
The journey involved three changes of train (Leatherhead, Guildford and then Aldershot), one of which turned out to be unnecessary as, although the ticket office staff told us to change at Leatherhead, we discovered once we'd got off that we had in fact been on the right train and had to then wait half an hour for the next one. In the end it took 2 hours, and to cap it all, it started raining as we walked back to the office from the station. And this was after we had got stuck in a traffic jam on the way to the meeting in the morning due to an accident on the A3, so that a 45 minute journey took us over 2 hours.
What a waste of a day! Anyway, while I was waiting at Leatherhead station, I thought I may as well blip to pass the time, and found this metal arrow on the station platform. Not sure what or why, but it makes a good snap.
