(St)anarchy in the UK

Stan Ambrose is one of Liverpool’s great characters. Presenter of BBC Radio Merseyside’s Folkscene programme, activist (he refers to his politics as Stanarchism) and harpist about town.

For as long as I’ve lived here (and that's a long time!) I've encountered him playing his harp in cafes, coffee shops and bars and getting involved in all manner of causes. He’s also played with Liverpool music collective Super Numeri.

Today he was plucking the strings at Bold Street Coffee and I asked him whether he’d mind me taking a few pictures - he was happy to oblige. Thanks Stan!
