Top of the world

This is the view towards home from the top of the Dome of St Paul's Cathedral.

You can see the wobbly Millenium Bridge straight ahead, the tower of the bankside Tate Modern gallery and Shakespeare's Globe Theatre just to the left.

We had a fantastic day; walked up 500+ steps past the Whispering Gallery, past the Stone Gallery, right to the very top of the Dome to the Golden Gallery where we had a 360 degree view of London. St. Paul's is, of course, utterly beautiful and awe-inspiring. And, brilliantly, paying the entrance fee once gives you free entry, as many times as you like, for the rest of the year.

A trip on a new hop-on, hop-off red bus to Covent Garden for lunch, then home in a black cab. A really special end to Half Term.

T is for Top of the World.

For DDW's February Alphabet Challenge.
