A walk up a hill in the morning. Out of our cottage and through the snowdrop-covered woods, then out the other side up and across a field and through the rocks and trees to get to the triangulation point and the monument at the top.

Then down to Anstruther for the afternoon, taking in fish and chips for lunch and then the museum when the weather turned a bit. Home via Pittenweem for a bit of bird-spotting and then another hike up the hill on returning home for a few photos and to deplete any energy I thought I might have left.

Took myself back to 1980s Yorkshire with my holiday reading in the evening, a time when this kind of thing was rife.
