Four months old
Means giggling and laughing
Being very curious
Learning to grasp what she wants
Enjoying lots of attention
Liking cafes and parks
Starting to baby talk
Jiggling happily when the music starts
Being glued to the winter Olympics
And her first film in the cinema
Following her mum and dad with her eyes
And, just occasionally,
Being aware of her twin,
Jed.

We all look on enraptured.
She's already becoming herself
And we wonder and hope for who she will become
In future.

Millie and Jed are the babies of my close friends Pete & Mercedes. I hadn't seen them for two months and couldn't get over how they had changed. It was a delight spending the day with them and their maternal gran, Caroline. Breakfast in a café in East Dulwich, home for baby feeding time and then off to Peckham Rye for lunch at the café and a stroll with the twins round the lovely rose garden. Snowdrops everywhere, and crocuses and hellebores - and of course parakeets.

I hope to get round to commenting on journals tomorrow or Sunday - have a great weekend everyone.
