A step up

Not quite the day of sewing that I'd planned...

Appointment in Duns, then a quick lunch before heading down to Alnwick to deliver a fiddle that Mr M had repaired. And to buy paint. Then down to Gateshead to Ikea (aaaargh) - for some shopping and to meet a friend from Wakefield. Very good to see Chris and her daughter.

Back home to assemble a floor lamp and this step stool. It's for Tom the cat, who eats his food on a low table. If we put his food on the floor it ends up inside Louie the dog, who'd much rather eat cat food than his own! But Tom's getting old - nearly 20 - and finds it difficult to get on the table. We thought the step stool might help. But Tom's a cat - so he's ignoring it, on principle! (The photo's a set-up!)
