19.7 km to go

The annual Rottnest Channel swim was held today.

This group of swimmers headed off from Cottesloe Beach at 0600hrs for a 19.7 swim to Rottnest Island.

Lead solo swimmers will take just over 4 hours. Other teams are duo or groups of 4.
We watched the start of the solo swimmers then a number of other groups before having our swim ( 100 meters !!!) then breakfast on the beach watching the flotilla of craft and surf boards accompany the swimmers
