Writers Festival down by the river at the Uni of Western Australia today on a BLISTERING hot day.
The stunning mosaic 'muriel' sundial on the wall is artist Shaun Tan's 'Hours Before Sunset'. (The little black dot indicates there are six hours to go...before sunset.)
In recent times, the mosaic boulders and golden egg have been added.

By chance when I was taking photos, someone who knows about the new additions walked by. The skeletons of the boulders and eggs were made by the fellow who makes the artificial rocks, caves and landscapes at Perth Zoo.
Then each tiny tile was placed, attached and grouted.
And very beautiful they are.
