Crocus carpet

We always get a good show of crocuses here (I'm sure I've used them in previous years!), but because they are under the trees in the shade, it is difficult to capture them when they are fully open, and today was no exception. I was actually intending to walk to one of three other locations, but by the time I had got to the top of the road I was feeling particularly shattered, and decided I couldn't go any further, so I just walked back via the park.

In the background is the Priory, and of course the Castle features on the extreme right-hand edge of the photo.
