Victim of the storm

This massive Oak tree was blown down in the storms of last weekend, blocking the adjacent lane, smashing into the garden opposite and very nearly reaching the house. The trunk at its widest part is about 4 feet across ( I don't do metric measurements ) and the landowner believes it to be over 200 years old. Such a pity for it to end in this way but it was on its way out for the trunk towards the base was very soft. I hope the timber can be put to good use.
