The Wild Wild West

Marauding sheep

I have honestly never been chased by a flock of sheep before. Cows, yes. But sheep?

Took a friend's dogs for a walk this morning. There was lots of mud, and lots of squelchy grass and water that will take an age to drain away. But that's what Wellington boots were made for. The dogs are English springers with collie there too, so the herding instinct is there for sure, but it was almost as if the sheep were coming towards us ASKING the dogs to herd them. There was a definite leader of the flock and she called the shots. As we got further away however, they simply turned and RAN at full pelt back to where they had been originally (why the rush?)

Thank God for sun today - a glimmer of hope that we are out of the worst perhaps?
