Sunset west of Broadway

Yesterday, I went on a special trek to the nearby railway line to catch the sunset - and got nowhere really. Today, having spent a whole day outside on an eight mile hike, the sunset one minute from base, grabbed over a hedge by the side of the road, was the best! Typical.

It was a pretty good day - although my efforts to give the kids an easy return leg at lower level backfired because the lower reaches of the Cotswold escarpment are full of springs. The watery kind. And if you mix water with earth.....yep - another mega mud fest. Walking through mud is VERY hard work.

High level both ways next time!
