Heartbroken.

Today, no matter what I did, my camera took pictures that looked like this. Just blackness. I changed lenses, cleaned the sensor, charged the battery, and changed the memory card. Chris did some research online and suggested that it was either my shutter or my ccd chip. After verifying that my shutter was working, I called Canon Tech Support and was met with two options. I could send my camera in for a repair, the base price of which is $280. I could also trade in my camera for a newer digital rebel kit for about $375. Obviously the latter is the better deal, but considering how strapped I've been for cash lately, never being able to put more than a quarter of a tank of gas in my car at a time because I don't have the money, I can't remotely begin considering dropping a couple hundred dollars on a new camera.

I'm going to see if my old digital camera still works when my parents mail it up to me at school, but that's the only thing I can hope for right now. I don't know when I'll have the money to fix my camera issue, but when I do, I promise I'll be back on blip. I'm so disappointed that my month of constant blipping was cut short. I'm absolutely heartbroken that my camera is broken, especially because of some microchip whose breakage wasn't caused by anything I did. I took care of that camera more than any other item I own. It's seriously my favorite possession. I think I'd be less upset if I broke my leg, to be honest. So, until next time, see ya later, blip. :(
