I've finally got to grips with a workflow to produce a reasonable image of the Sun. This is the final result from 25 images taken with the Sony A-290 and the Minolta 300mm lens, processed in PIPP to normalise them, then stacked (made into one image) by Registax and finally false coloured and re-cropped by Photoshop before upload to Blipfoto. I use less megapixels (I think) than Simac and JDGreenwood, hence the smaller image (unless there's still a trick I'm missing!

Plenty of sunspots in evidence, wonder if any of them flared?
