Saturday: Stone Gate

Despite the fact that it rained for much of the day, we have had most pleasant excursions.  After a leisurely start to the day, we had a good wander round town, showing Steve (see yesterday) around town.  Part of the tour included the 'Stone Gate', an altar to the Virgin Mary.  I am not familiar with this saint, but this is a detail within the Stone Gate.  

We have discovered that the Croatian for Jerusalem Artichoke is 'cicotka'.......that said, we still don't know how to cook it.....

And the evening culminated in drinks and food with our favourite Spaniards, ML and Christian.
