Cloch Lighthouse

Drove down to Lunderston Bay this afternoon, and walked along the pathway up to the Cloch Lighthouse. Blowing a gale and then heavy rain. Waves crashing into the shoreline. The Cloch is one of the oldest lighthouses in Scotland, built in 1797. On the Firth of Clyde, near Gourock. The main light doesn't work now, the pole in front of it is the current lighting system.

We noted a number of small huts along the edge of the water, and wonder if these are rented by fishermen. We also watched a windsurfer dramatically doing his thing.

Finally persuaded CJ to post a Blip this evening, after a gap of nearly two years. It is interesting to compare his take on the same scene. I liked the bend in the wall, he decided to include the road.
