Over there, are the Cotswalds.......

I was delighted that my 'follow your nose' instinct worked this morning and we discovered a far more picturesque route into town along the Kennet and Avon canal! Lots of bridges and tunnels to enjoy, and definitely less traffic and SO peaceful! And the sun was shining too which made everything beautiful and the outdoors the place to be!

Bath itself was MUCH busier not least because of a Bath v London Wasps rugby match this afternoon, so many pre match supporters were getting ready and in the spirit!

The open top bus took us up into the hills behind Bath and gave wonderful views of the Cotswalds. Then to the Jane Austen centre and a little bit of dressing up. A coffee and lunch and a further look at the abbey and the Bath River Avon.

Sadly, Lacock will have to wait for another day where I can spend more time and do justice to the exhibition of photography there. I have seen much over these days...and we are now safely HOME!
