Corner Wabash/Wacker
This morning the Beloved wanted to sing GOOD MORNING GOOD MOOOORNING from Singin' in the Rain through the hallway of the hotel floor, to punish the people that made such a horrible racket in the middle of the night. I shushed him, but then he made me laugh and he decided that THAT was even better; me laughing at full volume will, apparently, wake every living soul anywhere.
We walked back to the train station, in more cold. It feels good knowing my way around a bit in that part of Chicago - just to not look so touristy. Ofcourse, then I took the camera out :)
Irv Kupcinet was a famous columnist for the Chicago Sun-Times who died in 2003 - this statue is standing across from where the Sun-Times used to be; it's now another Trumpocity. I liked how he is looming large and almost ominous over a very quiet and early Chicago.
We were so very tired that there was very little conversation on the train, and it was all rather uneventful. We found the car back safe and sound in South Bend, visited the Aldi and headed home.
After taking care of cats and things I headed out to take care of the ... uhm ... outside pets. Piglet Percy (because of the scrawny tail) was besides himself with excitement. Yeah, their brain might be smaller-than-pea-sized, when it comes to food they are clever little poppets.
