Pink Tabbebuia Tree (Trumpet Tree)
Driving around Bradenton looking for colorful trees is one of my favorite pastimes. This tree is one of several on the property, and the palms in its background add to the ambiance. This one is near a closed building so it is not getting prime care, but it still has a pretty showy canopy. They are cold sensitive, so they are not the easiest tree to grow in our climate, and are also slow growing. When they are in flower, they are so lovely though, and can be seen for quite a distance. They don't often show up in nurseries around here often as they are difficult to obtain. I often have to wait several years to get one!
