Once, twice

A cracking but very long day which explains why I'm posting this at 02:36 on Sunday.

Lunch in Soho prior to the matinee of Once. This is the view from the gods. Or possibly the back row of the dress circle as I was sent on a ridiculously long trek to find a toilet without a queue. Brilliant show. Blabbing may have been involved including an involuntary snort from K bless him.

Trip to Foyles for script and IT book purchasing before heading into deepest, darkest Essex for a new writing evening. The play we were there to see was written by someone K had directed in youth theatre performances. We overestimated the journey time by about 2 pints worth but in a student union bar that isn't necessarily a bad thing.

The tube journey back was just long enough to read a play script each. Somehow we managed to get all the way home without finding out the rugby score so Uxbridge Road kebab and chips in front of the rugby has rounded off a fabulous day. Theatre and rugby - what more could a girl want? Except possibly a good bookstore - yep had that. Good food and wine and beer. Yep. Great company - that too. It'd be difficult to top.
