I gam o gam

As in most of the old streets in the village, the houses in this one seem to lean towards each other, and often actually do, rooflines run in all directions and it's difficult to tell where one house ends and another begins. Here the creeping plants are spreading along the always present electricity wires across the road.

The only way I can think of to describe it is the Welsh phrase 'i gam o gam' - which I suppose translates into English as 'this way and that' or 'from side to side', but it's one of those expressions that come to me in only one language.
