Pop of Color
The kitchen has remained the same color since we moved into the house, nearly 7 years ago. I loved it - the walls were grey, with accent walls in dark burgundy. It was cozy, looked amazing during Christmas and was a bold statement against they grey walls.
But, I needed a change. This winter has left me craving light. Knowing that a puppy is on the way, Kaylee and I decided that painting the dark walls in the kitchen/dining room was our first priority to complete before Mace arrives.
Our new kitchen/dining area features the same grey walls, only now our accent walls are a smoky grey that reflects natural light throughout the area. Our pops of color can be found throughout in bright, sunshine yellows.
I love it - it's an amazing transformation and one that leaves me feeling happy and energetic while I'm in the space. It was just the change I needed and it was a simple, cost-effective way of remodeling.
