The PeterCulter Igloo

Todays picture is of the PeterCulter Igloo, but it's not made out of snow or ice.

The igloo in the picture is located on Culter House Rd west of Strawberry Grange and Tillyoch Livery, at the end of an unclassified lane leading to Benview.

It was built around 1979/80 by the owner of Benview for his Children attending Cults Academy at that time. It enabled his Children to shelter form the inclement weather whilst waiting for the Country School bus. The bus apparently never ran to time in the winter months due to the snow and icy roads. But it did always make it apparently.
