Palace Refraction
My aunt and uncle are visiting for the weekend .... and although the weather hasn't been great we had a lovely walk around Linlithgow Loch followed by a pub lunch. It was sunshine and showers and in this shot I've got a raindrop on my lens filter that gives the funky effect.
It's their first visit to see us since we moved out to the sticks (ha - not that West Lothian is really the sticks) and its really nice to see them.
The highlight of the day however was the carpet bargain that we picked up on a reconnaissance trip to the carpet shop. There happened to be a remnant carpet 10cm larger than our room - hooray! Saved more than £500 and they are coming to fit it next Friday.
... off to check the room isn't actually bigger than I think ... fingers crossed ;-)

LOTD: Hope's triumphant "Let there be light and dark" blip - a fantastic shot and such a sense of adventure and anticipation in the shot and words!
