Vending machine

V is for vending machine. This one was in the most random of places — I'm pretty sure there are a few convenience stores within a five-minute (walking) radius of it, so I'd really love to know whether it turns a profit for its owner!

I've been wondering about the ethics of my street photography lately. All of my shots so far are candid, and many of the subjects didn't know they were being photographed. I don't think 'stealth' street photography is wrong per se but something makes me uncomfortable about it. In this vein (aha V for vein!) I'm mulling the idea of taking 31 portraits, or specifically street portraits, for March, which would require me to actually talk to people including strangers! It would be a huge step out of my comfort zone, so I'm as yet undecided.
