I may actually have been singing when this was taken!
I have spent today wrapped up for protection against a strong wind whilst commentating at a big half marathon on Blackpool Promenade.
Over 1500 athletes lined up to enjoy (endure?) a 50-50 combination of tail wind and head wind over a two lap course.
We have had fast runners and not so fast runners; birthdays and anniversaries; 2 paralympic athletes, one prospective and one former.
It's been a day of great stories which I got the privilege of relating to the crowd.
With so many inspirational stories every time I commentate I don't usually pick a stand out moment; today is an exception.
One athlete was running for The Walton Centre. You may have seen it on Channel 5. It is an incredible place where Mam received some care.
The young man is a member of staff there and he was raising money for the Home from Home, a facility that will allow relatives to stay on site with their loved ones.
He was pleased I was able to give the appeal a mention and was impressed by my knowledge of the Centre.
It was the least I could do. Off the microphone I explained why I know so much.
Have a great week.
