Refuge
The daffodils in the planters on the steps up to the back door have now fully opened. It didn't take long for the local spider population to move in - it's sheltering from the wind which made it quite difficult to get it into focus - the flower is on a long stem and was lashing back and forth with the wind. This was the best shot I managed.
I'm hoping they will all still be standing tomorrow - the wind is booming around the house again at the moment - not quite as bad as a couple of weeks ago, but more than strong enough to blow daffodils over.
Monday again tomorrow - Mrs Mikey back to work after half term, but she did get her reports finished - and even said this evening how nice it was to be able to just get her planning done without having reports hanging over her. Makes me appreciate being retired even more!
Hope you have all had a good weekend.
