living life on the edge

These ducks know all about how to live life on the edge - right to the edge of the overspill at Bottoms reservoir in Longdendale. If you look carefully the pair on the right are actually asleep and I have no idea how they don't just get washed over the edge.

Lots of birds around today, Dipper and Grey Wagtail were at the bottom of the overspill behind the ducks. Cormorant fishing to the right. The fields were full of Canada Geese and lots of Black-headed gulls on the water. An indecisive mixed flock of Fieldfare, Redwing and Starlings were flying around like leaves blowing in the wind.

The highlight was a real sign of Spring, 5 Curlew flying over.

The weekend has had two 4's in to. - I watched 4 live football matches on TV with Dad and even enjoyed some of them - We watched 4 episodes of the original House of Cards on DVD.

If that sounds like too many hours watching TV - You might think that and I just have to comment- you are correct!
