SEND IN THE CLOWNS
The most popular event in any rodeo is the Bull Riding.

It pits a small quick adrenaline fueled cowboy.
Against a one ton nasty bull with an attitude.
The cowboy rides with one hand,
Without touching the bull with his free hand.
Get this, he must ride for 8 seconds.

After the cowboy falls or jumps off his ride,
The Rodeo Clown enters the ring.
His job.
To distract the bull and protect the vulnerable cowboy.

These guys with the red lips and nose,
Literally run circles around the bull,
Providing the furious animal with an alternate target.
Actually, risking their own lives to protect the cowboy.

Notice the cup on this clown’s ear.
Earlier in the week,
A bull made an unexpected turn,
Then thrust his horns into the clown’s ear,
Sending him airborne, and to surgery.
