The Hand

This hand belongs to one of the sweetest people I know. She is a very holy person but never "Holier Than Thou" (although I know she is holier than me!) She lives her faith every minute of every day. She is always there for anyone who needs her and if you opened the dictionary under "selfless" you would find her name! She is a giver, a listener, and a very good friend. The fact that she is also my sister-in-law just makes me very lucky.

She left family, friends and a good job behind in California when Rachel was born so that she could help me raise her (and she did) I don't think she knows how to be selfish or unkind.

Now I know that she would really like to go back to California and be with her daughters and grandchildren and much as I would miss her if that happened, I will try to be as selfless as she is and sincerely hope, for her, that her wish will come true.
