Steroids!

Poor Chris, at 2:30am I took the decision to call the NHS 111 service as Chris was finding swallowing extremely difficult and had a ‘cold’ sweat. 3:35am the doctor called me back and requested to see Chris at our local urgent care unit at the hospital and his secretary would call me back with a time to meet as he had to travel quite a distance. At 4am a lovely lady called and said the doctor would see Chris at 6:15, by this time I was very awake and raring to go!
We got seen straight away and Chris has a horrible case of tonsillitis, his tonsil is pushing down towards the back of his throat, hence the problem with swallowing. As the doctor wasn’t sure if it is virus or bacterial infection he has given Chris antibiotics, codeine for the pain and some steroids to reduce the swelling and told to rest!
The sun rise was fantastic and yes I did make poorly Chris wait in the car for me to take a few snaps over the hills (what a meanie I am!).

Chris is now tucked up in bed now and I am about to get ready for the office. I think I will need matchsticks to get me though today!!
