Netting

A regional holiday in Canterbury so off to the beach camping we were going. But of course a southerly was forecast, rain and cold strong winds, so we waited until it blew through.

We left at 3.30 finally, and by 5 we were tucked up in our camp spot with friends. 10 metres to the beach, nestled in the pine trees. Fantastic to be out in the open again!

Dinner, a walk on the beach, lots of playing and talking, then the kids finally got off to sleep around 10pm. Oh well, it's a holiday.

Saw these guys netting on the beach, trying to catch sole or rig. They braved the cold water and came away empty handed. But at least they tried!
