Naga

The nagas are creatures from the Mahabarata, half serpent and half human, who are protectors of rivers and springs, and bring good luck -- according to the artisan I bought this from on the streets of Delhi.

Shopping in India is irresistible, and this is my favourite treasure from my recent trip -- and now sits in front of me, hanging on the wall as I work at the computer.
