Katie had a little friend visit us for the day today, very last minute. They had a wonderful day together. They played really nicely for the morning, had a huge morning snack and got out lots of games. Katie sat telling little friend stories in her bed for ages. They had an inside picnic for lunch before we went and gave the bunnies some lunch. They scootered to the park where they charged around for a wee while, although it was quite chilly. We returned home on the promise of making crispie cakes and having lovely warm drinks. And they ate more snacks. They did lots of pictures, little friend had a sleep while Katie had a quiet time reading in her room. They were very excited that I let them eat tea at the playroom table. Katie was more excited that tea was her favourite homemade soup with dumplings in it.

Katie then asked to go out on her bike, little friend had her scooter. They both thought it very funny to be out riding in the dark. Little friend's mama arrived just as we were getting home from the ride out and took a very unimpressed-to-be-leaving friend away. Katie had a second helping of tea, got a second wind, bounced on the bed a while, licked me a lot then fell asleep.
